The day has arrived when everything will be enhanced by AI. While the world has been developing different AI platforms to upgrade tech and more, the Middle East decided to join the club. Previously, we informed you how Saudi Arabia’s HH Crown Prince Salman launched HUMAIN, a platform that would develop AI-based solutions. The recent update is that HUMAIN has been announced as the first-ever Arabic AI chatbot in Saudi Arabia and here’s all about it.

Powered by HUMAIN’s flagship large language model, ALLaM 34B, the platform isn’t just a novelty; it’s built from the ground up in Saudi Arabia and speaks directly to Arabic users.
At launch, HUMAIN Chat is available on web, iOS, and Android, rolling out first across Saudi before moving to the wider Middle East and, later, global markets. It’s a bold move that underlines the country’s ambition to lead in the digital economy, not simply follow trends. And with artificial intelligence quickly reshaping industries, HUMAIN is clearly betting that an Arabic-first approach will set it apart.
Designed For Arabic Speakers, Fluent In Two Worlds
Plenty of AI tools claim to “support” Arabic, but HUMAIN Chat treats the language as its starting point. ALLaM 34B has been trained on one of the largest Arabic datasets ever compiled, fine-tuned by more than 600 experts and evaluated by 250 specialists. The result is an AI that doesn’t just translate words but actually grasps cultural nuance. From dialects across the region to Islamic and Middle Eastern contexts that most global models simply miss.
That said, HUMAIN hasn’t ignored the bilingual reality of modern life. The chatbot can switch between Arabic and English mid-conversation, making it just as useful for professionals who live in two languages every day. Add in speech recognition across Arabic dialects, real-time web search for fresh knowledge, and responses that respect faith and tradition, and HUMAIN suddenly feels less like a generic chatbot and more like a culturally aware assistant.
In short, it’s a tool designed for how people in the region actually talk and live, something most international AIs have yet to nail.

HUMAIN, A Collective Project For The Future In Saudi Arabia
What makes HUMAIN particularly interesting is how the company frames this launch. The platform isn’t announced as a fully developed product. Not because it has any flaws, but it would grow better with human interactions to perform and deliver more accurate results. Hence, to improve the performance, residents have been asked to use and support the development. This will overall help in shaping the model into a world-class Arabic-first AI.
