Italian food has always been a big favourite in Riyadh. Now there’s another name to add to the list. PASTAMAMMA, a restaurant already known in Dubai, has opened at Riyadh Park Mall. It is all about pasta made by hand and pizzas from a wood-fired oven. The restaurant has been running in Bluewaters Dubai for some time. It built a following there, and the team decided Riyadh was the right next step. With the location inside one of the capital’s busiest malls, the place is already drawing attention.

The look is casual but not plain. The walls and tables are lean and industrial, with greys and clean surfaces. But there are plants spread around and walnut wood finishes, which give the space warmth. Pendant lights hang across the dining room. At night, it feels brighter and more lively than many minimal spaces.
One detail many notice is the open kitchen. Staff prepare pasta in full view, and the pizza oven is always active. The sound and smell from that corner fill the dining area. Toward the back, there is a bar area where drinks are prepared, from coffee to mocktails. And outside, a terrace area gives another option, especially when evenings are cool enough for outdoor dining.
On The Menu
The menu follows Italian classics. A burrata salad is often the first order. It comes with heirloom tomatoes, pesto, balsamic, and crisp pizza bread. Pasta dishes cover a wide range, but the trottole arrabbiata with beef chorizo and nduja is already being talked about. It mixes San Marzano tomato sauce, parmesan, and basil, giving it a sharp kick.
Pizza options stay traditional. The Quattro Formaggi is one of the main choices. It layers Fior di Latte, Parmesan, Gorgonzola, and Asiago. Thin crust, simple toppings, strong flavours, that’s the focus.
Sides include grilled vegetables, herbed potatoes, and mushrooms. Drinks are light and fresh, like the yuzu and kiwi lemonade, which has been noted as a customer favourite. Desserts finish the meal. Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream is the signature.
Why Riyadh
Bringing PASTAMAMMA to Riyadh is part of a wider trend. More international food concepts are opening in the city, especially Italian ones. The local appetite for pasta and pizza shows no sign of slowing down. Riyadh Park, being a busy destination, was seen as the best place to introduce the restaurant.
The brand says its focus will stay on handmade pasta and quality ingredients, the same features that made its Dubai location successful. Whether it can stand out among many Italian names in Riyadh remains to be seen, but the early response looks positive.
