Sharjah Light Festival 2026 Returns With Dazzling Displays Across 13 Iconic Locations

If you’ve ever stopped mid-scroll because Sharjah looked unreal on your screen, here’s why. Those glowing mosques, forts, and waterfronts weren’t filters or clever edits. They were part of the Sharjah Light Festival, and it’s officially coming back for its 15th edition.

Sharjah Light Festival 2026 Illuminates The City With Mesmerising Art And Music

Running from February 3 to 15, 2026, the annual winter festival is all set to return to Sharjah and turn the emirate into a city-sized art installation. This year’s theme, “Reflections of Belonging,” promises light shows that are all about heritage, identity, and shared spaces.

According to a report by Gulf News, the festival continues to grow in scale and popularity. It plans to draw visitors who plan entire evenings around seeing Sharjah’s landmarks transformed after dark.

What Makes The Sharjah Light Festival Special?

During the festival, major cultural and tourist landmarks across Sharjah become canvases for light, colour, and music. Renowned artists design and produce large-scale projections that will be on display on buildings. They have stories rooted in culture and community to share.

Each location offers a different mood. Some feel calm and reflective, while others lean bold and dramatic. Together, they create a trail that encourages visitors to move across the emirate rather than stay in one spot.

Thirteen Locations, One Smart Plan

There are 13 locations to visit during the festival, which means plan accordingly, because trying to see everything in one night is ambitious.

The official list of landmarks hasn’t been released yet, but past editions featured sites such as Al Noor Mosque, Sharjah Mosque, University City Hall, Sharjah Fort, Al Majaz Waterfront, Kalba Clock Tower, and General Souq – Al Hamriyah.

Each year brings slight changes, so regular updates are worth watching. Once the list drops, routes will practically plan themselves.

Light Village, Where the Festival Comes Together

Before the lights even switch on across the city, Light Village sets the tone.

Opening from January 29 to February 22, 2026, Light Village acts as the festival’s social heart. From food stalls, shopping kiosks to interactive installations, and open-air entertainment, Sharjah Light Festival is going to be a limited-time hangout for families, friends, and more.
