1. A part of Al Khaleej Street To Be Closed Overnight

It was recently announced by the Dubai RTA that there will be a temporary closure of a key stretch of Al Khaleej Street. This is a part of the scheduled road maintenance work, which aims to enhance traffic, safety and infrastructure efficiency. As mentioned in a report of Gulf News, the restriction will be in place from February 22nd, 12 AM to February 23rd, 5 AM.

2. Unified Digital System For Student Assignment In UAE

The UAE’s Ministry of Education has introduced a unified system. This is for the submission and assessment of students’ assignments from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It has been introduced as a part of Ramadan with a family initiative, which aims to strengthen consistency, transparency and digital learning in public schools. So, under this new framework, tasks and evaluations will be uploaded through the Learning Management System.

3. Al Barsha South 2 Gets New Zamzam Mosque

Dubai’s Al Barsha South 2 has a new Zamzam Mosque. This mosque can host up to 850 worshippers, which includes 700 men and 150 women. Serving residents in Al Barsha South 2 and nearby communities, it has been designed in a modern style. The modern style is inspired by traditional Islamic architecture. Moreover, as mentioned report of the Gulf News, the mosque features a main prayer hall along with a dedicated women’s prayer area, a main area, and an arcade.

4. AlUla Ramadan Football Tournament 2026 Begins

Organised by AlUla Club, the AlUla Ramadan Football Tournament 2026 has already begun. This is happening at the Skhirat Stadium, where eight teams from across the governorates are participating. They aim to promote your participation and a healthy lifestyle during Ramadan. Moreover, the event also serves as a social hub where local artisans, displays and activities for fans will be taking place.

5. Turkish Airlines Wins Best in Entertainment In Europe

Turkish Airlines has once again proven itself. It has been awarded the Best in Entertainment in Europe at the 2026 APEX Official Airline Ratings. These APEX Official Airline Ratings are based entirely on neutral, independent, verified and anonymous passenger feedback. As it happens, this is the fourth consecutive year that the award has been given to the flag carrier of Turkey.
