Cyclone Tej is expected to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surges to the coasts of Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates. To ensure the safety of residents, the government has taken precautionary measures, such as evacuating those in vulnerable areas, temporarily closing the Salalah Port, and activating a 24-hour call centre.

2. Beach Water Polo Championship Returns at Old Doha Port

The fall season will witness the Beach Water Polo Championship, held at the Old Doha Port from October 26 to 28. Organized by the Qatar Swimming Association, this event is open to residents and non-residents of Qatar alike. Teams can register with a minimum of five players and compete for prizes and trophies. 6. Sharjah Museums to Display Historic Collection of Indian Arts

Sharjah is gearing up to host the ‘Ziena Splendor of The Indian Courts’ exhibition, a splendid showcase of the rich cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent, particularly the jewelled arts of the Mughal era. This collaborative exhibition between the Sharjah Museums Authority and Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah of Kuwait will be on display at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization from October 25 to April 14. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire 84 curated objects, including gem-studded weapons, pendants, vessels, and domes, offering a glimpse into the opulent history of Indian courts.
