1. GITEX Global Begins Today In Dubai

GITEX Global, the largest tech and start-up show in the world begins today and it will go on till October 20. The mega event is happening at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will feature industry insights and endless opportunities in the world of tech and start-ups. As it happens, the event can be reached via Metro. Not to mention, you can also reach via several routes allotted for people who are arriving by car. So, they can use Al Mustaqbal Street if they are coming from Al Meydan Street and Al Sukook Street if they are coming from Sheikh Zayed Road.

2. Dubai-Amritsar Flight Diverted To Karachi On October 14

A sudden medical emergency that occurred on board an Air India Express flight, which was headed from Dubai to Amritsar, forced the crew to take a detour. Yes, they had to make an emergency diversion to Karachi in Pakistan in order to get the passenger immediate medical attention. This incident occurred on Saturday, October 14. Once a flight landed at the Jinnah International Airport at approximately 12:30 PM, the passenger was given immediate medical care. After this successful intervention, the flight continued to proceed towards its original destination of Amritsar.

3. Red, Yellow Alert Issued For Fog

On Monday morning, residents in Abu Dhabi woke up to a Red Yellow alert, owing to a fog forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology. As low clouds were expected to appear on the Eastern Coast by morning, NCM had put on this alert. The Abu Dhabi Police also warned motorists about the reduced horizontal visibility on its official account on X. They were urged to follow changing speed limits that have been displayed on the electronic information boards. Not to mention, speed limits had also been reduced on certain routes, such as it was advised to drive at 80 Km/h on Muhammad AlFalahi AlYassi Road (Zayed City – Al Marfa).

4. Ras Al Khaimah Is Now A Sustainable Destination

An exciting round of developments, the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah has been awarded silver certification. This has been awarded under EarthCheck’s Sustainable Destinations program, which aims to recognise significant milestones achieved in the emirate during its journey towards sustainability within the Tourism Sector. So, the award was given after keeping 10 sustainability indicators in mind. And these indicators include energy and water consumption, carbon footprint, community engagement, and waste management, to name a select few

5. Adrenark Adventure Crowned The World’s Best Family Entertainment Centre

Adrenark Adventure, which is a popular destination in Al Qana, has been awarded the best Family Entertainment Centre in the world. Moreover, this recognition was given at this year’s Park World Excellence Awards. Not to mention, SeaWorld Yas Island in Abu Dhabi was also awarded recognition for the Best Use of Theming of the Year. So, this is indeed a proud moment and it’s hardly unsurprising as Adrenark Adventure has 20 fantastic interactive activities for children and adults.

6. Etihad Airways Adds Boeing 787-10 To Its Fleet

Etihad Airways recently took to its official account on X to announce that it has added the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner to its feet. And this exquisite aircraft landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport on October 13, Friday. Not to mention, this new arrival has already begun its services on October 15, Sunday.
