Traffic gets hampered when it rains heavily, as a result, motorists are always advised to be careful when they drive. Something similar is happening in several areas of Abu Dhabi that is expected to experience rainfall of varying intensity till October 9. So, the authorities have urged residents to exercise caution during the weather fluctuations while they are out.

Going by the report of the National Centre of Meteorology, rainfall may lash across the country due to low pressure. Not to mention, it’s also expected that there will be relatively cold air mass in the upper levels. This comes after some parts of the UAE experienced moderate to heavy rain on Sunday, October 6. In fact, hail was also seen falling over Murbad and Maidaq in Fujairah.

Motorists Urged To Be Cautious

According to the forecast by the NCM, the Abu Dhabi Authority has now urged drivers to be careful when they are commuting by road. In fact, the Abu Dhabi Police took to X, urging commuters to be cautious when they drive during the adverse weather conditions. There is the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall, the forecast also mentions that it will be accompanied by fresh wind. In fact, several areas of Al Ain may also receive light, moderate, and heavy rainfall accompanied by fresh to strong winds during the same period. While AlUla may also experience light to moderate rainfall along with fresh strong winds.

So, the public must adhere to modified speed limits. Not to mention, they must not travel to the valleys. It is advisable that one carries a first aid kit and alternative sources, in case of emergencies.
