Adel Sajan Reflects On The Early Lessons Of Building A Business

In a candid conversation with host Kamiya Jani, Adel Sajan reflects on the early days of his journey into the business world. Adel recalls starting to work at just 13 years old during his summer holidays, much like his father, who believed in building a strong foundation early on. His first job involved working in a building material yard, surrounded by blue-collar staff in the scorching heat, often returning home drenched and sunburned. His mother was concerned about his well-being, but his father, unwavering in his approach, was adamant that it was part of the learning process.

By the time Adel turned 18, he spent three months in his father’s office, gaining valuable insights into handling staff and dealing with clients, such as bankers. At 19, he made a pivotal decision to stay back in the country to work and study, despite having the option to study abroad due to his good grades, recognising the opportunity to learn and grow in both spheres.

As Sana adds, “If I want anything, I just say the main thought of it, and then he just goes into all the details around it,” revealing the harmonious dynamic they share.
