Mumbai LitFest has announced the dates of its 15th edition and it is happening from November 15-17 at the NCPA, Nariman Point. The three-day literary festival is a paradise for book lovers and here’s everything you need to know about this much-awaited literature festival in the city.
Mumbai LitFest Returns To The City With Its 15th Edition
Bringing the literary spirit back to the city, the Mumbai LitFest is all set to take place from November 15-17. Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest 2024 is coming back with its 15th edition and will see over 125 writers, speakers, thinkers, and performers from 13 countries across the globe.
Founded in 2010 by Anil Dharker, this much-anticipated festival celebrates literature with an exciting lineup of authors, exciting debates, book launches, workshops and much more! The three-day festival will witness debates and interactive sessions on poetry, business, history, society, travel, science fiction, and entertainment.
This year’s lineup includes big names like Arundhathi Subramaniam, Christopher Merrill, Farrukh Dhondy, Gautam Bhatia, Gulzar, Huma Qureshi, Hussain Zaidi, Ila Arun, Jane Goodall, Jane Ohlmeyer, L Subramaniam, Lavanya Lakshminarayan, Marcus du Sautoy, Mohinder Amarnath, Murzban Shroff, Pavan K Verma, Prajakta Koli, Pico Iyer, Ranjit Hoskote, Shahu Patole, Subhash Ghai, and William Dalrymple.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know About This Literary Fest
The three-day Mumbai LitFest will have a specially created virtual reality installation. The installation will place the viewer right in the middle of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Also, to commemorate the author’s 100th death anniversary, the book is this year’s ‘Book in Focus’ at the festival.
During the festival, the fest committee will also announce the winners of The Rotary Writing for Peace Award, the Sultan Padamsee Awards for Playwriting, and the Binod Kanoria Awards for Children’s Literature. You can register for the fest here online.
A special LitFest for children, The Little Festival, will also be held along with the main event. This fest for the kids will be held on November 15 and 16 at NCPA, Nariman Point.
