In an unfortunate series of incidents, a major fire broke out at the Times Tower in Mumbai. Located in the commercial area of Kamala Mills in Lower Parel, harrowing visuals of the fire have surfaced online and are going viral. Luckily though, no one was injured owing to this massive blaze. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this particular unfortunate incident.

According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, this particular fire broke out at around 6:30 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024. If reports are to go by, the fire was declared as a level 2 or major emergency.

Luckily, though, no injuries or loss of lives occurred as a result of this fire. Harrowing visuals of the fire have emerged on X (formerly known as Twitter). Videos show scary flames and plumes of smoke erupting from the building.

According to officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation or the BMC, the cause of the fire is not known as of yet. However, officials are trying their level best to douse the fire.

Nine Fire Tenders Called On Site To Douse This Blaze

As many as eight fire trucks and one other fire tender were sent to the site to douse the blaze. The officials were prompt in their response and as soon as they received the alert, the fire tenders were sent to the location. It is hoped that the fire must have been doused or at least brought under control by now.

This incident serves as a stark reminder to all to take precautions for fire safety. All campuses should also have fire extinguishers as a precautionary measure to douse flames should they break out. The incident and the prompt response by authorities also demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding the lives of citizens.
