Since the first update of the Mumbai Metro 3 project, Mumbaikars have been waiting for these services. Creating an efficient link between Bandra Kurla Complex and Aarey Colony JVLR, this all-new line has kickstarted its services. What commuters considered a convenient transportation mode has turned out to be the opposite for many.

People from the Aarey Milk Colony find it difficult to access the Aarey Metro station swiftly. The biggest reason for this challenge is the distance between the metro station’s entry gate and Aarey Milk Colony. The point to enter inside is on the Jogeshwari-Vikroli Link Road.

Interested commuters need to travel for around 6 km to reach the entry point of this metro station. In addition, finding an auto quickly in this area is difficult. This is turning into a major problem, especially during peak hours.

What Do Passengers Think About This Issue?

Taking to X, Netizens are reacting to the challenge to reach the metro station. Here are a few responses from X users.

According to a report by Mid-Day, locals have pointed out these problems to access the metro station. Due to traffic during rush hours, it often takes about 30 minutes to complete this journey. Initially, residents of this area looked forward to accessing the station from the road near Aarey’s Picnic Point. They expected this route seeing the car depot of this metro line constructed here.

Another key reason to expect the Picnic Point as the entry route is the station name. Though its name is Aarey metro station, locals still need to travel 5-6 km to reach the exact entry gate. Available road transportation options are time-consuming, especially in peak times. Another challenge here is to find autos outside the station. However, there is a bus stop nearby.
