With Navratri just around the corner, Mumbaikars can make sure there’s no stop to the celebrations and festivities. This is because the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) announced revised timings for Mumbai Metro for Navratri on lines 2A and 7 from October 19. Mumbai Metro Announces Revised Timings For Navratri

According to a report by Mid-day, Mumbai Metro has announced revised train timings where services will be extended on Line 2A and 7 from October 19 to October 23 for Navratri. As a gift to Mumbaikars, the revised metro timing beckons them to celebrate the festivities till late at night without worrying about expensive late-night travel and traffic congestion issues.

The statement by MMRDA further reads that the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Chairman of MMRDA Mr Eknath Shinde has extended Mumbai metro services on Metro Lines 2A and 7. The statement further reveals that this decision was taken to enhance the safety of metro-goers during the festival season. The Chief Minister further added that the Mumbai Metro continues to deliver safety and comfort to its passengers.

What Are The New Timings From Oct 19 To Oct 23

Furthermore, he adds that Mumbaikars can enjoy the festival will more enthusiasm as their commute back home is taken care of. He addressed the eco-friendly Metro as the go-to travel option for 5 crore citizens. So, what are the revised Mumbai Metro timings on Line 2A and 7?

  • Last metro trains to run at 12:20 am instead of the earlier 10:30 pm
  • Extension includes additional 14 trips in a 15-minute gap
  • Total trips to increase to 267
  • Saturday trips to increase to 252
  • Sunday trips to increase to 219
  • Final arrival time of metro trains on Andheri West on Line 2A and Gundavali on Line 7 is 1:33 am

Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Metropolitan Commissioner of MMRDA revealed to Mid-day that Maha Mumbai Metro witnessed an average growth of 5% every month.
