PM Narendra Modi will be visiting Mumbai on Saturday to inaugurate various development projects worth ₹29,400 crores in the city. He will lay the foundation stone for key projects like the Thane Borivali Twin Tunnel Project as well as the BMC’s Goregaon Mulund Link Road. PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone For Twin Tunnel In Mumbai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Mumbai on July 13. This visit will be a major one as the PM will launch several important projects worth ₹29,400 crores in the city at a function at NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon. He is expected to arrive there at 5:30 PM. According to a report in Hindustan Times, after making an appearance at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, the PM will visit the INC Secretariat at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

One of the highlights of the PM’s visit will be the launch of the Thane- Borivali Tunnel Project. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of this ₹16,600 crore project in the city. The 11.8-kilometre-long Borivali Thane Link Road will create a direct connection between the Western Express Highway at Borivali and Ghodbunder Road in Thane. It will also significantly reduce travel time between the two places.

To Inaugurate Projects Worth ₹29,000 Cr In The City

Another important project that PM Narendra Modi will launch in Mumbai is the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project. Connecting the Western Express Highway at Goregaon to the Eastern Express Highway at Mulund, this project is estimated to be built at a cost of ₹6,300 crore. It will bring down the travel time between the two areas to 25 minutes from the current 75 minutes!

At the NESCO Exhibition Centre, the PM will also launch developmental projects related to transportation connectivity in Mumbai. This will include projects related to railways, roads, and ports development. As per reports, he will launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana for skill enhancement in the city as well. He will also initiate the Kalyan Yard remodelling project and the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal in Navi Mumbai today, as per the Hindustan Times report.
