Mumbai-Pune Intercity Express To Run 40 Minutes Faster

The Mumbai Pune express Intercity express will now run faster by 40 minutes making your journey a lot easier. This express will take you from Mumbai to Pune in 2 hours 35 minutes. Originally Intercity used to take 3 hours and 17 minutes. We know trains are the most efficient and cheapest mode of travel. Now they will also be the fastest as well!

The change in timing has come after the Central Railways introduced the ‘push and pull’ technique. This technique includes having two locomotives– in front as well as rear. This will help the train to run faster by 40 minutes.

The new timings of 12127 Mumbai Pune Intercity Express are 6:45 am from CSMT Mumbai and will reach Pune, Shivaji Nagar by 9: 20 am. The train earlier left at 6:40 am and reached Pune by 9:57 am. These timings have officially not been confirmed by the railway authorities. Travelers must check the IRCTC website before they plan their trip.

Other trains that take you from Mumbai to Pune like the Deccan Express, Indrayani Express have their timings unchanged. Deccan takes 3 hours and 17 minutes to reach whereas Indrayani takes 4 hours and 05 minutes.

Central Railway has introduced many updates in the train timings to give make the journey easier for passengers. So ditch the roadway and take this train which runs the fastest between Mumbai and Pune.
