Siddhivinayak Temple Released A Dress Code For Devotees
Recently, the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust announced a specific dress code and banned a few clothes as well. The concerned department concluded with this crucial decision in response to receiving several complaints from many devotees about people wearing inappropriate and revealing outfits and entering the mandir.
Soon, devotees wearing any revealing clothes or torn outfits will not be allowed to enter the holy religious site. The temple trust’s official stated many devotees requested to implement a dress code aligning with the temple’s sanctity, according to a report by Firstpost.
The new decision will be in action in the upcoming week. Once effective, people wearing short skirts, torn or cut pants, or outfits exposing too much cannot enter the sacred site.
Siddhivinayak Temple Trust is not the first in India to implement a dress code and restrict inappropriate clothing. In the last many years, several temples across our nation issued similar guidelines for devotees. Last year, Vrinadavan’s Shri Banke Bihari Temple implemented a clothing code citing devotees cannot wear half pants, mini skirts, torn pants, leather clothing, and inappropriate outfits at the mandir.
A Prominent Religious Site In Mumbai
From Bollywood celebrities to the general public, crores of devotees visit Siddhivinayak temple annually. The mandir holds a spiritual significance and is renowned for fulfilling everyone’s wishes. Its architecture is a wonderful marvel to witness.
Come next week, everyone must wear modest attire, preferably Indian clothing, and cover their bodies well before entering the mandir in Prabhadevi. This newly issued dress code is to preserve and prioritise the temple’s decorum, as per the notice by the trust.
