From 8 am on July 30 to 8 am on July 31, Mumbai Metropolitan recorded an average rainfall of 2.75 millimetres in the city. Whereas the eastern and western suburbs received 12.43 mm, and 10.42 mm, respectively. Additionally, the city’s water supply was 75.54 per cent full as of yesterday at 6 am.

Regarding forecasts for the monsoon, IMD has stated that India is projected to get average rainfall in the months of August and September 2023. This comes after extreme heavy precipitation in July caused flood-like conditions in various regions of the country, causing devastation to both life and property.

There has been no news on the Mumbai local train or any reports of excessive gridlock in the city. Additionally, there were no BEST bus detours due to rain yesterday. However, due to the Municipal Corporation’s beginning of demolition operations on two hazardous structures at Carter Road Bandra, the Police had already closed the route to traffic.
