MAMI Mumbai Film Festival To Return In 2026
As revealed in a report by The Indian Express, a new version of the festival will be making its return in 2026. It will, however, extend its support to independent cinema. As a result, it’s bound to create more ways of engaging with the host city, Mumbai, better. For those who aren’t aware, this is a decade-old festival, which has been happening in Mumbai since 1997.

However, due to the ongoing revamp process, it will be skipping this year. New dates for the 2026 edition will be announced super soon, and it is bound to strengthen the festival. It was also mentioned in the report, however, that the festival, which was held the previous year, happened on a smaller scale. This took place at the Regal Cinema Hall and PVR Juhu after Jio withdrew its support.

Not to mention, this festival has emerged as a hub for the best of contemporary world cinema. With there being a focus on South Asian cinema, the new edition is going to return stronger. In fact, it is going to return with a new logo and approach! You can certainly expect this much-loved festival to make a return once again next year.
