To facilitate easy travel, Western Railway has now announced two pairs of special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the thousands of cricket fans travelling to Ahmedabad to watch the final match. Special Train Services Between Mumbai & Ahmedabad For IPL Fans
There is going to be peak travel demand during the IPL 2026 final match in Ahmedabad, along with a heavy rush. To make travel easier, Western Railway will run two special fare trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. According to The Times of India, the services are aimed at providing easier travel options for thousands of cricket fans visiting the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Train No. 09021 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad AC Superfast Special will leave Mumbai Central at 6:20 am on May 31 and reach Ahmedabad at 12:40 pm. This will allow fans to reach the city early on match day. After watching the match, IPL fans can travel on the return service, Train No. 09044. It will depart from Ahmedabad at 3:50 am on June 1 and reach Bandra Terminus at 12:15 pm the same day.

Where To Book The Tickets?
Bookings for these special trains will open on May 30 at all PRS counters and the IRCTC website. Moreover, the train will run with a premium Shatabdi rake. It features Executive Chair Car, AC Chair Car, Anubhuti Class and a Vistadome Coach. If you plan to watch the IPL final between RCB and GT, make sure you book a ticket. It will ensure an easier commute.
According to the Free Press Journal, the special services will halt at several key stations. These include Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch and Vadodara. Passengers are advised to check detailed schedules and coach composition on the IRCTC website before planning their journey.
