On Thursday, India stormed into the Women’s World Cup 2025 final, with Jemimah Rodrigues’ unbeaten 127 becoming the talk of the town. As fans eagerly await the big clash against South Africa on November 2, here’s something all her fans should know–the star batter who keeps bowlers on their toes is actually a true foodie at heart! In a recent chat with Mashable India, Jemimah opened up about her favourite foods, cheat meals, and more.

Once Off The Pitch, Jemimah Rodrigues Loves To Devour…

Born in a Mangalorean Christian family in Mumbai, Jemimah Rodrigues is a true Mumbaikar at heart. Proof? In her chat with Mashable India, she revealed that she grew up eating shawarmas in Mumbai, and when she finally tried the famous ones in Dubai, she couldn’t help but compare them to her favourites from Carter Road. Her verdict was that the Carter Road ones were much better!

They also played a game of ‘This or That’ with Jemimah Rodrigues, and that’s when her inner foodie truly came out! She chose bhaji pav over rajma chawal, pizza, and even pani puri! But when it came to butter chicken, bhaji pav had to step aside, until mutton biryani took the crown as her ultimate favourite from all the choices.

How She Likes To Treat Herself

When asked how Jemimah likes to reward herself or celebrate after any achievement, she gleefully shared that whenever she wants to treat herself, she indulges in Nutella pancakes. Her second favourite cheat meal is chicken wings. She further added that her taste changes, depending on her mood and what she is craving at that moment.

So, what does Christmas look like at Jemimah Rodrigues’ home? After attending midnight mass on Christmas Eve, her family gathers for a hearty Christmas lunch the next day, complete with turkey on the table. They also host a potluck where everyone brings something special — from idlis to sorpotel and other family favourites. The celebrations don’t end there; the day is filled with laughter, dancing, games, and cosy Christmas movies.
