Mumbai is set to unveil its first-ever elevated Forest Walkway, offering a unique treetop experience in the heart of the bustling city. Located at Malabar Hill, this eco-friendly project is designed to give visitors a refreshing escape amidst lush greenery while ensuring minimal environmental impact. Inspired by Singapore’s famous treetop walks, the initiative aims to blend urban infrastructure with nature seamlessly.

The newly built Forest Walkway stretches 470 metres, connecting the Malabar Hill forest to a rocky outcrop near Kamala Nehru Park. Designed with a wooden deck and sturdy railings, it allows visitors to walk among the treetops while soaking in panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and Girgaon Chowpatty.

The ₹25-crore project, which began construction in 2021, took nearly three years to complete due to restrictions in Malabar Hill’s silent zone. Now in its final stages, the Forest Walkway is expected to open to the public soon, providing Mumbai with a much-needed green retreat amidst its ever-expanding skyline.
