The new subway is coming up in the city starting from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and is going to be connected with the Metro-3 line. The Maharashtra government has approved the upcoming underground pedestrian subway, as shared by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited officials. This significant development will create a major connection starting from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and reaching the metro station. With this pathway project, people can directly connect between CSMT and the Aqua Line metro station of the underground Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro Line 3, according to a report by Hindustan Times.

Here Are All The Details You Need To Know About This New Project:
- Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation will be constructing this underground pedestrian subway.
- This 365-metre development will begin from platform number 1 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and continue till the Azad Maidan metro station. The ending point is the location of constructing the CSMT metro station.
- The stretch will pass under the Himalayan Bridge in between.
- There will be escalators, lifts, moving walkways, and more in this subway.

Passengers of the Central Railway or Metro-3 line will only be able to access this subway. To get access to this pathway, they will need to punch or swipe the card into the machine.
