Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation for Anubhuti Inclusive Park — an all-inclusive park. The Central Government has passed a Disability Rights Act in 2016. And it was meant to empower people with special abilities to live with dignity. The vision of constructing this park is a part of the initiative for people with disabilities. Said to be spread across a 90,000 square feet area, this inclusive park will be equipped with multiple facilities. That includes a separate room for mentally challenged children, water therapy, a touch and sense garden, a hydrotherapy unit, a canteen facility and much more. This park will be built for disabled and general citizens and is the world’s first inclusive disabled park.
Nitin Gadkari’s Vision
While giving a speech on bhumipujan for Anubhuti Inclusive Park, Nitin Gadkari expressed his wish for an exclusive stadium for specially-abled sports persons. He narrated his experience of Khasdar Mahotsav and said that around a thousand and five hundred sports persons participated in the event for various sports activities. This prompted him to think of building a stadium for these sports enthusiasts and giving them a place to fulfil their dream.
He further said that NIT, NMC and state governments can be roped into building this stadium and provide facilities to specially-abled sports persons. Living with dignity is everyone’s right and this park is a step further in that direction.
