Looking up at the night sky is probably one of the most profound and hypnotic things to do. Almost everything around us changes, and constantly so. However, when you look up at the sky, you know that it is the very same one that your ancestors must have looked up to all those years ago. Recently, NASA shared a breathtaking picture of Jupiter, Venus, and our moon in close proximity, and we’re at a loss for words.
NASA Shares A Photo Of Venus, Jupiter, And Our Moon
There’s a meetup happening in the western sky: the crescent Moon sits close to Jupiter, with Venus below them. Jupiter and Venus will continue to cozy up until March 1, when they’ll be at their closest.

The night sky is probably one of the most hypnotic things you can gaze at. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA recently shared another beautiful picture for you to gaze at.
If you’ve been paying close attention to the sky at night these days, you would have noticed that our moon has gained a couple of bright friends. The two bright stars that you must have seen close to the moon aren’t actually stars at all. They’re the planets, Jupiter and Venus.
NASA shared a close-up of this stellar meeting and we’re awe-inspired. According to the caption that went along with the picture, the proximity between Jupiter and Venus will keep on increasing until the 1st of March.

The caption of the NASA picture also explains the positions of the three heavenly bodies. The caption reads “The crescent Moon sits close to Jupiter, with Venus below them.” You clearly see the moon’s crescent and under it, a bright dot which is the planet Jupiter.
In the photograph, the planet Venus is below Jupiter but even then, it looks bigger and brighter than Jupiter. Venus, which is also called the morning star and the evening star, is the second planet in our solar system. Earth is the third while Jupiter is the 5th.
