Despite coming from an influential family, Navya Naveli Nanda has worked hard to establish a name for herself. At a young age, she has created an ecosystem for more than 25,000 women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. She spent almost a decade of her life studying abroad but she always knew she had to come back to India for work. In the recent episode of Stories From Bharat, she reveals why she chose to come back home.
Here’s Why Navya Naveli Nanda Knew She Wanted To Come Back To India
Navya Naveli Nanda recently visited the Curly Tales office in Mumbai. She met our team and spoke about her experience as an entrepreneur. Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani then took her on a drive around the city and spoke about Navya’s MBA Journey, life in Mumbai and Delhi, family influence, and her business aspirations. Between all this, Kamiya asked her about her return to India after spending almost a decade abroad.
To this, Navya Naveli Nanda candidly replied that she has been asked this question a lot of times. She often feels she shouldn’t have gone abroad for studies. According to her, the 10-11 years she spent in London and New York for her schooling and college, made her miss a lot of experiences in life that she has to learn now. However, she was very clear that she would come back and work in India.
“Bharat main itna potential hai, especially aaj ke zamaane main. Potential, paisa, dimaag, innovation, creation, technology, art–sab kuch hai yahan pe,” she said. She feels India has evolved and is now among the top contenders in every field.

Navya Talks About Her Family Legacy
Navya Naveli Nanda is the granddaughter of the great Amitabh Bachchan and daughter of the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Escorts Kubota Limited, Nikhil Nanda. Safe to say, she has quite an influential background! However, as noted by Kamiya, Navya has quite a chill vibe and no attitude about her Bollywood family.
To this, Navya responded, “Family key achievements ek taraf hai and mere ek taraf.” According to her, she doesn’t believe she has done something to behave in a certain way. In her mind, she still has a lot to do and until she fulfils that, she can’t just sit and assume that because of her family, she is great as well.
“Everyone comes into the world the same way and leaves the world in the same way. What happens in between is your luck and hard work, and it all depends on you as a person,” feels Navya.
