This week on Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, we had a heartwarming experience with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The versatile actor opened the doors to his beautiful Mumbai home for a special episode. He welcomed Curly Tales Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, for a delightful meal and heartfelt conversation. The actor, who is often associated with intense roles, came across as effortlessly down-to-earth and endearing as he joked about using gaalis as a love language — “Agar gaali nahi padi, toh matlab pyaar nahi hai,” he quipped.

From removing the bitter seeds to stuffing and tying it up with thread before frying, Nawazuddin described it all with the flair of a seasoned food-lover. Between bites, he also reenacted a viral clip from a Karachi monologue, much to the delight of his fans and Kamiya alike.

Not As Intense As His Characters? Nawazuddin Says He’s Actually Quite Chill

Nawazuddin, widely praised for his gripping, intense roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Sacred Games, surprised everyone by revealing he is nothing like his on-screen personas. “Real life mein main bilkul relaxed hoon,” he said with a smile. He admitted that during shoots, he stays mildly in character to maintain consistency, but as soon as the camera switches off, he switches back to himself. The actor even tried his hand at a few Marathi words, showing how much he has embraced life in Mumbai while staying rooted to his origins.
