Nawazuddin Siddiqui Played A Game Of ‘How Well Do You Know Your Kitchen’ With Kamiya Jani

Nawazuddin Siddiqui graciously invited our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani, to his palatial home in Mumbai. Over a Sunday Brunch meal of Bajra Roti, Dal Ghosht, Paneer Matar and Roti Phirni, the duo got talking about films, fun and food. The actor even played a game of Pictionary with us. And proved to us through his witty comebacks how well he knows his kitchen.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Admitted To Not Knowing His Kitchen Well

While giving Kamiya Jani a house tour, Nawazuddin Siddiqui briefly stopped outside his kitchen. Despite shifting to his current home four years ago, the actor isn’t familiar with his kitchen. This could be due to his busy schedule. Kamiya joked that Nawazuddin at least knows where spoons are placed. To this, the actor smirked and admitted that he was aware of this.

He admitted to having time earlier to spend in the kitchen. But these days he didn’t. Grabbing hold of the opportunity, our Chief Travelling Officer asked Nawazuddin if he was up for a game of ‘How Well Do You Know Your Kitchen’. “Main haar jaaunga ( I will lose),” he laughed. We put the actor to the test and asked him to find us spoons, salt and moong dal. While he could easily find the first two things, he struggled with the last one and glanced at his cook to bail him out.

The Tea Drinker Hilariously Couldn’t Locate Tea Leaves

“Moong dal nahin maalum mujhe ( I don’t know where moong dal is kept),” he admitted defeat. After quite a struggle, he located the garam masala. Alas, the dry fruits were still missing from his purview. Next was chai ki patti or tea leaves. The actor admitted to being a tea drinker yet hilariously struggled to locate it. But Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a decent cook. The dish he has mastered is his Aloo Gobi.

The man of few words revealed he opens up to his friends. Otherwise, he did come across as shy and reserved. While chatting with Kamiya, Nawazuddin Siddique revealed he hadn’t slept the whole night as he was on a shoot. But being a theatre man, he has been used to the demands of tight night schedules.
