From having sold-out concerts, making Ed Sheeran sing in Hindi, appearing as the first Punjabi singer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, releasing hit films and more, the list goes on and on. After all this glamorous success, recognition, fame and money, he is incredibly down to earth! On this Sunday Brunch episode, Neeru Bajwa reflected more about Diljit’s humble nature.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Thoughts On Success
Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, enjoyed a healthy meal of vada pav, poha, chole and more while having a candid interview with our guests. She asked what success meant to Diljit. Being one of the most humble individuals we have ever met, he told us that he isn’t aware of what success means!
He added that he sat down to think about what success meant but he didn’t have any substantial answers for it. Even after having consecutive sold-out shows for his Dil-luminati Tour around the world, he said, “Pata nahi, success kisko kehte hai mujhe pata nahi. Shayad atpatta lagega jawaab, lekin maine kabhi aisa feel nahi kiya.”
Having said that, success is a subjective aspect and Diljit reflected that prosperity for him is something else which a lot of people might not understand. He doesn’t have the exact words to elucidate his thoughts on this, so he suggested we keep this topic aside for now. We understand your perspective, paaji.

His Co-Star, Neeru Bajwa Praised How Success Doesn’t Affect His Ego
Neeru commented that she worked with Diljit for a long time now and has never seen success affect him in any manner. She talked about how it doesn’t affect his ego and he remains the same despite achieving such great achievements. She added that other celebrities throw lavish parties to celebrate and enjoy their wins but he is the extreme opposite of that!

This is one of the greatest qualities a celebrity can have! She concluded by saying, “It doesn’t faze him. It is so awesome that it doesn’t affect his ego!” One of the main reasons why Diljit is ruling people’s hearts!
