This year has been full of sad and tragic earthquakes. After the series of earthquakes that shook the countries of Syria and Turkey, many other regions were also struck by this natural calamity, albeit on a smaller scale. Recently, Nepal was struck by not one but two earthquakes. One measured 4.8 magnitudes and the other 5.9 on the Richter scale. The National Center for Seismology tweeted about the two earthquakes highlighting some important details about them.

According to the two tweets by the National Center of Seismology, the first earthquake struck around 11:43 PM on the 27th of April. It measured 4.4 magnitudes on the Richter scale. It was 10 kilometres deep and was soon followed by another earthquake.
This second earthquake was more intense than the one that came before. Measuring 5.0 magnitudes on the Richter scale, this earthquake struck around 1:57 AM on the 28th of April, today. This earthquake, too, was 10 kilometres deep.
The epicentres for both earthquakes were the region of Dahakot in Bajura. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties incurred in this incident. More details about the incident aren’t revealed yet. The police said that they will provide further information soon.

According to ABP news, this is the third earthquake this week to hit the country of Nepal. On Tuesday, the 25th of April, an earthquake which measured 4.1 magnitudes on the Richter scale struck the northern region of Nepal.
However, even in this earthquake, there were no casualties reported. This means that, fortunately, no loss of life has occurred in all three earthquakes, as per reports by major news agencies. The epicentre of the earthquake was the Baluwa region in the Gorkha district of Nepal.
The tremors of this earthquake, according to the Kathmandu branch of the National Seismological Centre, were also felt in Lamjung and Tanhu districts.
