There’s no place like home. And home is our body. The very shell that houses our being. So, it’s our responsibility to take care of it and live a life of abundant health. Neuroscientist Robert W.B. Love is committed to helping us live a healthier life by using science to help people prevent Alzheimer’s, a brain disorder that progressively destroys memory. In his latest reel, the neuroscientist listed three drinks that are the worst for our brain.
“Beer Is The Worst Alcohol For Your Brain,” Says Neuroscientist
Robert W.B Love posted a reel on Instagram where he named three drinks that are catastrophic for our brain and could possibly cause Alzheimer’s. “Avoid these three drinks as they are hurting your memory,” he Love. The first drink he names is alcohol. He says alcohol is neurotoxic, which damages the brain and kills neurons. Moreover, it’s bad for the gut bacteria, harms the liver, causes inflammation and impairs memory and sleep.
“The worst alcohol for your brain is beer,” says the neuroscientist. Beer contains gluten which causes inflammation and also increases uric acid. The neuroscientist advises people to drink alcohol in moderation. But the cleanest alcohol, in his opinion, is tequila.
When it comes to the second worst alcohol for the brain, Robert Love says it’s an obvious one — soda. Loaded with sugar and zero on fibre, soda can cause Alzheimer’s. This is because it spikes insulin and blood sugar levels, which in turn increases inflammation.

These 3 Drinks Can Cause Memory Loss
The third drink that people should absolutely avoid is giant Frappuccinos from coffee companies. The reason they are bad for health is because they have way too much caffeine, which can be too stimulating. An ideal cup of coffee should contain not more than 100-200 mg of caffeine. But Frappuccinos may contain as much as 400 to 600 mg of caffeine. Also, Frappuccinos are loaded with sugar which is harmful for one’s heart and blood vessels. Love advises coffee lovers to drink black coffee or matcha coffee instead.
Well, now that you know all about the three worst drinks for your brain, right out of the horse’s mouth, will you limit their consumption?
