1. Residency & Foreign Affairs Department Building In Khorfakkan To Be Closed Temporarily
Recently, the Residency and Foreign Affairs Department Building in Khorfakkan was temporarily closed for four months. This building in Sharjah will be closed for the aforementioned period from February 3 onwards, as revealed by the Federation Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security. As a result, people can visit the Dibba Al Fujairah Customer Happiness Centre, Kalba Customer Happiness Centre, and Fujairah Customer Happiness Centre, during the period.
2. AD Ports Partners With MAG Group Holding To Develop Marsa Zayed Beachfront
It was announced that Abu Dhabi Ports Group has partnered with MAG Group Holding. Together they will be developing the first phase of Marsa Zayed Beachfront, which is a beach resort and residential community. Located on the Red Sea in Aqaba, Jordan, it highlights Abu Dhabi’s global partnership.
3. Barrierless Parking At Mall Of Emirates & City Centre Deira
Mall Of Emirates and City Centre Deira have introduced a barrierless parking system. The two most popular malls in Dubai, have done so after an announcement was made in October 2024. MAF and Parkin have confirmed plans to implement barrierless parking, which will be paid. It’s already in place at City Centre Deira and soon will also be at the other mall. Parking barriers have been removed to facilitate a smoother and more efficient entry and exit experience for the visitors of the mall.
4. New Evacuation System Activated In Dubai
Dubai has a new evacuation system, that’s now active for people of determination at Al Mamzar Beach. With a specialised range of speakers, this system guides visually impaired individuals to evacuation points. Not to mention, it would also deliver vibrations for alert individuals who have hearing impairments in case of emergency. This system has been activated to ensure that everybody is informed and supported in case of any emergency.
5. Wipro To Modernise Infrastructure For Etihad Airways
Wipro has backed a multimillion-dollar five-year tenure deal from Etihad Airways. Yes, it will ensure seamless migration of legacy systems and improve operational efficiencies. This will be across areas such as workplace, network, service management, and infrastructure. Not to mention, it will also offer a customised cloudbase solution that will provide Etihad Airways, real-time insights into their resource utilisation. As a result, will improve operational agility and even capability for their global operations.
