Whether you’re craving a bowl of ramen or a slice of Italy, there’s something fresh and fabulous waiting to be discovered. These places bring bold flavours, unique stories, and exciting vibes to the city’s food scene.

New Restaurants In Mumbai

1. Toscano

There’s something about Italian food that just wraps you in warmth, and Toscano, now open in Andheri, is exactly that kind of place. After becoming a go-to in Navi Mumbai, this cosy new outlet brings the same charm to the busy lanes of Veera Desai. The menu is packed with Italian favourites like Goat Cheese & Roasted Pear Salad, fluffy sourdough pizzas, and Spaghetti Aglio Olio. And for dessert? Their Tiramisu and Kahlua Mousse are loved for a reason. The space feels relaxed and inviting, with burgundy interiors and green plants making it perfect for a casual dinner or a long lunch.

2. Miss Margot

Created by hospitality legends Kishore D.F. and Dimi Lezinska, this new space is calm, stylish, and made for people who love details. The cocktails here are the real stars. Try Miss Margot, their signature gin-based drink with a pop of cherry and citrus, or the bold and quirky Inquisitive Cat, which includes tequila, grapefruit, and even a hint of prawn! It sounds wild but works brilliantly. Small plates like the Tom Yum Gambas and Deconstructed Chicken Wings with Roquefort are a hit.

3. The Merchants

Ever dreamed of eating your way across the world, all in one sitting? The Merchants at Fairmont Mumbai makes that possible. Located inside Mumbai’s T2 Airport, this massive food hall is open 24×7 and offers dishes from six live kitchens, each inspired by different parts of the world. From India, there’s the rich Gosht Ki Galouti and Chicken Sukka. Southeast Asia brings you Chor Muang Dumplings and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Europe shows up with comforting Wild Mushroom Risotto and even Fish & Chips with a gourmet twist. Every dish is made fresh to order, right in front of you. They also have a unique Chocolate Atelier where you can sample handcrafted chocolates or take part in chocolate-making workshops.

4. P.F. Chang’s 

Pan-Asian food lovers, rejoice! P.F. Chang’s has just opened in Andheri, and it’s already buzzing with diners. Known globally for its bold flavours, showy wok cooking, and stylish interiors, this spot makes a strong case for your next night out. Start with their classic Dynamite Shrimp, Chang’s Lettuce Wraps, or the spicy Kung Pao Tofu. The menu at this new restaurant in Mumbai features over 80 dishes, and the best part? No MSG and all cooked using traditional wok methods. End on a sweet note with Sticky Toffee Pudding or a scoop of their Matcha Gelato.

For those who appreciate precision, elegance, and a quiet atmosphere, Otoki in Colaba is a true gem. Inspired by Japan’s izakayas and helmed by Chef Mohit Singh (who’s worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Kyoto and Europe), Otoki focuses on flavour, simplicity, and seasonal ingredients. Their menu includes everything from fresh Sashimi and Hand Rolls to Ramen, Robata-grilled dishes, and beautiful small plates. This new restaurant in Mumbai also offers one of Mumbai’s best sake experiences, curated by India’s first certified sake brewer, Maia Laifungbam.

6. Gola Sizzlers

If the sound of a sizzling plate arriving at your table makes your heart skip a beat, you’re going to love Gola Sizzlers in Andheri East. This legendary brand from Delhi is now in Mumbai, and it’s come a long way from the old-school sizzler plates you remember. The menu is exciting; yes, you’ll still get your sizzlers, but now there are new dishes from Indian, Asian, and Continental cuisines too. The drinks are just as well thought out, with a cocktail menu that’s both creative and fun.

7. Bombay Sweet Shop

The beloved Bombay Sweet Shop has arrived in Oshiwara, and this one’s much more than just a place to pick up mithai. This outlet blends nostalgic Indian sweets with new-age creativity and throws in coffee, sandwiches, and innovative drinks for good measure. The vibe here is super playful, from a mural of mithai-thieving monkeys to colourful interiors inspired by old Bombay cinema. The food is fun and unexpected: Palak Patta Chaat, “Chhole Bhature” Mezze, Cherry Gola Granita, and Gulab Jamun Churros. There’s even a chaat counter right up front and a self-serve gifting area where you can build your own snack stash.

8. SoBo 20

Looking for something fancier with a story to tell? SoBo 20 is a stunning new restaurant at the InterContinental on Marine Drive. Created by the people behind Inja, it mixes French culinary elegance with the bold, comfort-driven flavours of Southern America. The setting is elegant and atmospheric, with interiors inspired by both Art Deco and vintage Americana. The cocktails and wines are as thoughtfully crafted as the food. It is a perfect spot for a date night, an anniversary, or when you just want to treat yourself.

9. Kona Kona

Actress Mona Singh brings you a warm, nostalgic space with Kona Kona, a new neighbourhood bar in Andheri West. It’s cosy, welcoming, and full of personal touches that make it feel more like someone’s stylish living room. The menu is crafted by chefs who’ve taken their childhood food memories and turned them into delicious bar snacks and comfort meals. Don’t miss the crispy TP Nimki with spicy chutney, Darjeeling-style Jhol Jhal Momos, or the fluffy Himachali Siddhu stuffed with keema or mushrooms. There’s even a mysterious bar mascot called The Duckman that adds a touch of whimsy.

This is their second Mumbai outlet after Vashi, and it brings everything people love about Punjabi food. The food is the real hero here. Start with Mutton Paya Shorba or Bhatti da Murg, and don’t miss the melt-in-your-mouth Mutton Galouti Kebabs. For a showstopper, order the Raan-E-Sikandari, perfect for sharing with your gang.
