The Internet is forever divided between the Mumbai v/s Delhi debate, whether it is about the housing facilities, cramped spaces or food! However, Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for Road Transport & Highways, chose Mumbai as his city when it comes to the food between the metropolitan cities! He invited us to his Delhi residence for a hearty Sunday Brunch episode with a delectable spread of food and engaging conversations.

Nitin Gadkari Said, “Mumbai Jaisa Kuch Nahi!”

Nitin is currently a minister who resides in Delhi due to his work. He is also a Maharashtrian and doesn’t lose sight of his cultural roots when it comes to food. He is a massive foodie who chooses Mumbai food over Delhi. He revealed this to Kamiya when we talked about his food choices.

He simply replied to us, “I like Mumbai! Mumbai jaisa kuch nahi.” Kamiya couldn’t agree more and we are sure Mumbaikars agreed with Nitin’s statement. When elaborating on his favourite dishes or eateries in Mumbai, the one thing that stood out was how he mentioned roadside vendors and established restaurants. The minister doesn’t shy away from stopping by a street food vendor and relishing an entire plate of bhel puri or vada pav.

The sheer happiness on his face while raving about the food in Mumbai truly made us realise how much he loved the city! He also appreciated the lively nightlife of Mumbai.

The minister highlighted how an individual can go out late at night in the City of Dreams and eat a budget-friendly snack or meal. While in Delhi, there aren’t many options for late-night eateries at pocket-friendly rates.

According To Him, Delhi Only Offers…

Continuing on the same topic, Nitin declared that Delhi only has aloo paratha and paneer. It is to be noted that he is vegetarian, so these two dishes are his go-to.

Kamiya asked whether he liked to indulge in paneer dishes. To our surprise, he doesn’t. Then, he also added that he avoids potatoes due to his health concerns thereby leaving him with limited food options in Delhi.
