The Ministry of Development of the Northeastern Region is collaborating and working with the Haryana government for something very exciting, according to a report by The Telegraph. According to the ideas and plans of this new beginning, the initiative is all set to build and boost the richness and diversity of art and crafts, culture, heritage, and authentic cuisines of the Northeaster states of India and Haryana. This process to bolster the authenticity of the states is going to continue in the upcoming 5 years.

The North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation came to an agreement on this initiative with the Department of Heritage and Tourism of the Haryana government by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The concerned people were in Delhi and joined hands for this glorious beginning.

Both governments are going to work to boost and promote the traditional crafts, cuisines, handicrafts, and more offerings of the states, according to an official statement. This is becoming a significant opportunity for artisans to flaunt their talent and impress people with their exquisite skills. This is also an excellent way to aim at expanding the markets by selling unique products. Visitors have the chance to dive into the rich culture of Northeastern states and Haryana, get glimpses of the craftsmanship, and learn about the rich culture and heritage.

Due to the new initiative, the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation can take part in the Surajkund Mela, according to The Telegraph report. They will get a designated area to set up 60 shops in the Faridabad mela.
Surajkund Mela is all set to showcase a diverse view of Indian states in the next 5 years.
