“Northern Lights In Mumbai,” Harsh Goenka Pokes Fun At The City’s Traffic Situation; Calls It “Aurora Borivalis Maladis”

Harsh Goenka Spots Northern Lights In Mumbai

Northern Lights AKA Aurora Borealis is a beautiful display of natural light that appears like they are dancing in the sky. Bright green, purple, pink and indigo lights appear as flickers, spirals and rays in the sky. The dynamic patterns seen in high-latitude regions make it on every traveller’s bucket list.

To witness the Northern Lights, one needs to travel to countries like Norway, Finland, Greenland and Iceland. But Harsh Goenka revealed on X that he witnessed the Northern Lights in Mumbai. Taking a dig at the city’s traffic situation, he shared a picture of a road clogged with traffic, cars are seen stuck in traffic bumper to bumper. Bright red and yellow lights emanate from the vehicles.

The business tycoon called Mumbai’s Northern Lights, “Aurora Borivalis Maladis”. Borivalis, if you hadn’t guessed already indicates residents of Borivali locality and Maladis are people from Malad in Mumbai. We have to admit, the play on words is impressive and definitely left us chuckling.

Netizens Joke About Bengaluru Having Southern Lights

Netizens didn’t miss out on the opportunity to also poke fun at Mumbai’s traffic-congested roads. An X user joked that flying cars could solve the problem and wished Ola would launch electric flying cars. Another person joked that this type of Northern Lights is also seen in the evening from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.


And of course, when it comes to traffic, how can Bengaluru be left behind? A few Netizens said the Silicon Valley of India has Southern Lights. There is heavy traffic despite the presence of three metro lines due to lack of connectivity, chimed a person.
