If you are someone who has been planning to visit Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is also on your list of places to visit, then you are in for some brilliant news. We say this because the majestic mosque has now launched night tours, keeping transit travellers in mind, as mentioned by the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Yes, and now it will be open 24 hours a day!

Sura Evening Cultural Tours Launched At Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Called Sura evening cultural tours, visitors will be able to discover the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in a new light. Yes, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre will be able to discover hidden gems in the mosque while also witnessing the maintenance and cleaning works. Not to mention, these night tours will come with multimedia guide devices. Yes, these will be available in 14 international languages and will include options for the visually impaired and deaf as well.

It Will Cost AED20 Per Visitor

In fact, this tour will be available for groups of up to 20 people, these will cost AED20 per visitor. However, it should be noted that when visiting the mosque during regular opening hours, which is between 9 AM and 9:30 PM, it continues to remain free of charge. But it should be noted that pre-registration is mandatory. And for those who aren’t aware, this mosque was completed in 2007 and is the largest of its kind in the UAE.

A Glimpse Into The Majestic Mosque

In case you aren’t aware, this mosque is spread across 22,000 square metres. As it can host over 40,000 worshippers at once. As such, it is the highlight of the legacy of the UAE’s founding father, the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Of course, it also has a religious significance while also commemorating his values. In fact, more than 3 million visitors were recorded at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque just in the first half of 2023.
