What Is It?

Billionaire Robert Bigelow, who is the founder of the hotel chain – Budget Suites, has stated that the company is planning an inflatable hotel stay that floats in space by 2021. Bigelow Space Operations is his new company which is a part Bigelow Aerospace is building two space modules, B330-1 and B330-2. The project is yet far from fabrication, but at least the ideas are being put out.

What’s In It?

Bigelow Space Company will be managing the modules, and Bigelow Aerospace will be responsible for taking them to space. These modules will operate as inflatable hotel stays and that be sent to the Earth’s orbit. They will be operating low on height in the Earth’s orbit. The two modules will also be linked together and will be 55 feet apart. It will almost look like a huge private space station.

According to Bigelow, this hotel pod is not only a tourist destination, but also a space for astronauts or government officials looking for an orbital laboratory space.
