Nushrratt Bharuccha Talks About Being A Grumpy, Mischievous Child
While gorging on a fiery, street food spread of Indo-Chinese grubs at Sagar Chinese, Kamiya Jani asked Nushrratt Bharuccha how she was as a child. “I was a very ‘sadu’ kid, I think. The Chhorii 2 actress added that she had a grumpy face all the time. I didn’t know why. She shared that she is the only child of her parents. And growing up, she didn’t like a lot of attention. So, if young Nushrratt was surrounded by a lot of people, she preferred to stay aloof and not engage.
The actress recalled liking being by herself with her doll. She remembered being attached to a stool, and her safe space was right under it. Nushrratt said, “That stool was my little castle. I would sit for hours under that stool with my doll in hand.” Nushrratt Bharuccha even shared a hilarious childhood anecdote where she climbed into her friend’s home with her gang to play dark room. Unaware that his parents were at home, the children would play in his room and steal food from the fridge. Her mischievous nature caught Kamiya by surprise who laughed heartily at Nushrratt’s shenanigans.
