From Emotional Films To Managing Screen Time; NV Sir Gets Candid
In a candid exchange on Tere Gully Mein, NV Sir shared a heartfelt confession: “Never have I ever watched a movie and cried a lot,” to which he responded with an enthusiastic yes. “Haan hum saath-saath hain, toh hum har baar rote hain,” he laughed. He elaborated, saying that while Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic films might not always bring tears, it’s the natural, emotional ones that truly tug at the heartstrings.
The conversation also touched on everything from oversleeping and missing lectures to the intensity of the medical profession. NV Sir admits to occasionally missing classes, but not without valid reasons, like important work commitments. As we dive into the topic of addiction to technology, NV Sir notes how mobiles have become more of a companion than friends, shaping the content we consume. He offers advice on managing screen time by using the “not interested” option wisely.

NV Sir Addresses The Issue Of Student Suicides In Kota
NV Sir shared his perspective on the often-discussed issue of student suicides in the city. He acknowledged the conversation surrounding it but emphasised, “It shouldn’t be happening,” while pointing out that the media coverage might be amplifying the issue, making it seem more prevalent than it is. He highlighted that the percentage of such cases is relatively low in Kota and stressed that the pressure students face isn’t unique to the city—it’s a societal issue seen globally.
Drawing parallels to the stress in prestigious institutions like IITs and IAS, NV Sir urged a reassessment of the education system, particularly in relation to the adoption of Western policies that may not align with India’s unique context. He explained that while the education system in the US may seem simpler, the reality in India is different due to the immense competition, large population, and insufficient infrastructure.
The mismatch between the ease of entrance exams and the lack of available opportunities in higher education, he believes, contributes to the stress. He suggested that instead of copying systems, India needs a more tailored approach to education, where both the process and infrastructure align to reduce pressure on students.
