New York City, in many ways, is ground zero for the queer fight for liberation. The Stonewall Inn located in Greenwich Village saw the landmark uprising more than half a century ago. Since the uprising, the month of June is globally used as a time for reflecting upon the predicament of queer people and pushing further for rights.
