Stockton Rush, the late CEO of OceanGate, was one of the 5 passengers that were on board the Titanic vessel to explore underwater. Karl Stanley, one of his old friends, stated some huge allegations against him and his plans with the company. In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Karl stated that Rush was designing a “mouse trap for billionaires”. He further added that the OceanGate CEO was aware of the fact that things will get doomed in this way and the vessel would implode. It was back in the year 2019 when both OceanGate CEO and his friend took the Titan vessel and dove underwater, according to a report by Insider. Karl shared his experiences of this expedition in the interview and revealed that he heard loud noises similar to gunshots once every three to four minutes. According to him, these cracking noises came from the breaking of the carbon fibre hull. When he informed Rush about the same and asked him to stop this journey in the future, OceanGate did not pay much attention to his concerns and refused to listen to him. Karl believes that the carbon fibre tube failed in this expedition, leading to the disaster.
