Steve Reoch is the broker of the yacht, according to a report by Business Insider. It has been about half a decade since he began attempting to sell the submersible for $795,000. And it seems like he has lost all his hopes to find a buyer.
Steve Reoch Does Not Want To Anything With The Submersible
The connection between the OceanGate vessel and the broker began some years back. The company asked Steve to sell the vessel. He is trying to do so for 5 years now and the rest is history. In a conversation with Insider, the broker shared how he does not want to do anything with this vessel.

- Developed back in 1996, this is a 13-and-a-half-foot vessel.
- Before being owned by OceanGate, it was made for the Perry Submersibles at first. Different companies also operated it in between.
- This sub can go to a maximum depth of 1,000 feet underwater.
- Also, the most important point to note is that the American Bureau of Shipping identified it as a submersible vessel. This classification means that the vessel is meeting all the necessary industry standards.
