Oman Air is a world-class airline that’s known for its stellar services to passengers. However, if you are flying via Muscat International Airport with Oman Air, you might want to note that now you must report to the electronic boarding gates at least 40 minutes before your departure time. Here’s all about this travel-related development!

Oman Air Asks Passengers To Report 40 Mins Before Scheduled Departure

Oman Air recently revealed that passengers must report at least 40 minutes before their flight departure time for a smooth travel experience. As revealed by Oman Daily Observer, the updates to the Passenger Boarding System at the Muscat International Airport will come into effect from Sunday, August 4. The airline also mentioned that the boarding gates would be restricted after the time had passed.

But if you are wondering about the check-in procedure, you will be relieved to know that everything else will remain unchanged and this will close 16 minutes before flight departure. In fact, from August 4 onwards, timings for the boarding pass reading area will also be adjusted. For those who aren’t aware, it is located just after the check encounters and before the passport control desk. So, passengers will be able to complete their passport control and security checks more efficiently.

It was also revealed that travellers will now no longer be allowed to pass through the checkpoint after 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Not to mention, the departure gates will also continue to close 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time just as it was previously.

This development by the airline comes after the national carrier of Oman had taken steps to introduce sustainability by designing the packaging in the Economy Class earphones. Made from recyclable craft paper, they use single-use polyethylene terephthalate foil solution.

So, if you are travelling from Muscat International Airport with this airline, you might want to keep yourself punctual as being late can cost you your flight.
