Oman Announces Free 10-Day Visa For Cruise Passengers & Members; Details Inside

Oman Announces Free 10-Day Visit Visa For Cruise Passengers & Crew

With the aim of offering a significant boost to the tourism industry in Oman, a free 10-day visit visa will be granted to passengers and crew members of a ship, as reported by the Times Of Oman. The aim is to attract more visitors to the country and Decision No. 132/2024 was issued by His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shuraiqi, who is the Inspector General of Police and Customs. As a result, some provisions of the executive regulations of the Executive Regulations of the Foreigners’ Residence Law have been amended.

Executive Regulations Of The Foreigners’ Residence Law Has Been Amended

Here is what the amendment looks like:

Clause (3/c) of Article (10), which refers to the executive regulation of the Foreigners’ Residence Law will now be replaced by the following clauses:

A 10-day visa will be granted by the competent authority upon request of the tourist ship agent for passengers and crew, who wish to visit Oman for tourism purposes. This entry must be completed within 30 days of the visa issued
The next one is a one-month visa, which will be granted by the competent authority upon the request of the tourist ship agent for passengers and the crew who wish to visit Oman for tourism purposes. And this entry must also be completed within 30 days of the visa being issued.

This means people who wish to take a tour of Oman, they will now be eligible for this free visa if they are passengers or crew members of a cruise ship. It’s worth mentioning that they can also avail one-month visit visa as mentioned above. However, this will be upon request. Yes, this will be granted upon the request from the ship agent as well.
