Filipino travellers are about to get a serious travel upgrade. Starting in 2026, Filipino passport holders will be able to visit Oman for a visa-free stay of up to 14 days. Forget the pile of paperwork and embassy runs. Just book a flight and go.

Oman Announces Visa-Free Travel For Filipinos From 2026, Opening New Tourism Opportunities

The announcement came during Oman’s National Day celebrations in Makati City on November 19, where the Omani Embassy confirmed the policy shift as mentioned in a report by MSN.com. It marks a first for Oman as it is set to become the first Middle Eastern country to offer visa-free entry to Filipinos. This move signals warmer ties and bigger travel ambitions on both sides.

A Policy Change That Actually Matters

Oman’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Nasser Said Abdullah Al Manwari, announced this news personally with a simple goal of making Oman easier to visit for Filipinos.

Filipinos already travel widely across Asia and the Gulf, and easier entry removes one of the biggest barriers. Short stays of up to two weeks are suitable for holiday travellers, first-time visitors, and those who are considering it as a layover trip.

Better Flights, Fewer Hassles

Getting there is also set to improve. At present, travellers can fly directly from Manila to Muscat. That’s already a strong start. But Oman is thinking bigger.

Plans are underway to add a direct flight from Cebu. This will enhance travel for passengers by opening access from the Visayas and nearby regions. Authorities are planning to add more airlines to the route network. More routes usually mean better prices, more seat options, and flexible schedules..

Why Oman Is Different?

Oman offers mountains, deserts, beaches, and old cities that still feel lived in. Think quiet wadis, stone forts, fishing villages, and coastlines that stretch for miles. It’s a perfect place if you want to escape to a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle.

For Filipino travellers used to nature, history, and warm hospitality, Oman fits naturally, offering Middle Eastern culture without the rush.

This visa-free move is an invitation, along with being a travel perk. Easier access, expanding flights, and a destination that sells itself. Come 2026, Oman isn’t just opening visa-free entry for Filipinos but getting ready to welcome them.
