In keeping with this mission, the festival will bestow the Lifetime Achievement Award upon Thiru. Perumal Murugan is a leading figure in Tamil Nadu’s literary world. He is being recognised for his steadfast commitment to education and the fostering of literary arts and culture in the state, even in the face of adversity.
