Customer Exposes Underweight Delivery ‘Scam’ By Swiggy Instamart
Reddit user, PsyHil89, recently posted a series of pictures to expose a ‘scam’ he faced with Swiggy Instamart. According to his post, he ordered some vegetables from the app a month back, despite the slightly higher prices. After receiving the order, he used a weighing scale to check the quantity of the cauliflower he received and found that it weighed only 145 grams. This was surprising because he had placed an order for 400 to 600 grams of the vegetable on the app.

This made him weigh all the other vegetables he ordered and he found discrepancies in all of them. As per the post, he received only 965 grams of potatoes against the 1 kg he ordered. Furthermore, he got about 170 grams of capsicum instead of the 250 grams he ordered.
He then raised this issue with Swiggy Instamart’s customer care and requested a replacement or a full refund of ₹177. However, the customer care services refused to refund the full amount and instead offered ₹89 as compensation. While he tried to escalate the issue, customer care maintained that they could only refund about half of the actual amount paid.
