Kolkata gets a new instagrammable spot in the form of India’s first post office cafe named Shiuli, The Parcel Cafe. It is located inside Kolkata’s heritage GPO building at Dalhousie. The GPO building is itself more than 150 years old and boasts of a beautiful colonial architecture.
Occupying a corner inside this heritage building, Shiuli – The Parcel Cafe is blending in the charm of the old architecture and post office days with the new agepicture-perfectt cafe culture. This cafe has been started with a thought of making post offices relevant to the younger generation.
The cafe can be distinguished with its high ceilings , hanging fans ,bright interiors and post office themed decorations. You will be able to see a variety of stamps mounted as wall decors around the cafe. This cafe is definitely a philatelist’s delight!
The cafe has recently opened with a humble menu containing Coffee, Lassi , Pattie to name a few. The officials are planning to soon introduce a wider menu.
