I planned an impromptu visit to Ayodhya to get a glimpse of what might be the third largest Hindu temple. The construction is going on full swing and the temple is expected to be ready by 2024!
Seated on the bank of the holy Saryu river, Ayodhya is an ancient city and also the birthplace of Bhagwaan Sri Raam. This was the backdrop set for the epic Ramayana that have been a household tale growing up. This city is also one of the most important pilgrimage locations amongst the seven in our country.
The construction site is flooded with engineers burning the midnight oil daily to get this temple up and running by 2024. We got the chance to interact with the Chief Engineer, Jagdish Alfe and explore the under construction site. During festivals like Ram Navami, Dussehra, and Diwali Ayodhya is swarmed with visitors from all across the country to rejoice and celebrate the festivities! I would highly recommend you to plan your visit to this holy town.
