I Visited The Indo-Myanmar Border | Nagaland | I Love My India Ep 67

On our third and final episode from our Nagaland series, we’re exploring the tribes & terrains of Nagaland.

In this very special episode of I Love My India, our travel host Neha Nambiar visits more intricate villages and tribes in Nagaland, starting with Pochury tribe in Meluri district, takes us through the mesmerising views of the mystical Shilloi Lake and visits the “Lakshman Rekha” of India & Myanmar – the Indo-Myanmar border checkpoint near Avakhung village.

Watch as we take you through a culture-rich ceremony of the pochury tribe performing their traditional harvest dance, which is the cultural highlight of our visit here. Dressed semi-naked in their ancestral heirlooms as well as animal bones and remains, the men in the pochury tribe hold hands and perform the dance symbolising unity and harmony. Like this episode?
