Kapil Sharma Recollects Good Old Days When Kulchas Cost Just ₹2 | Curly Tales

Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma has become a household name in India. His television shows have found avid watchers throughout the country. In this episode of Tere Gully Mein, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani got the absolute delight of interviewing this star comedian. He’s playing the role of a struggling delivery agent for a food delivery app in his latest movie Zwigato. Kamiya and Kapil were also joined by the illustrious director of the movie Nandita Das, and Kapil’s co-star Shahana Goswami.

Kapil Sharma: Kulchas Cost Just ₹2 Back In the Day

Kamiya visited the lanes and streets of Amritsar, a place that holds great value for Kapil Sharma. Of course, you can’t go to Punjab and not try one of their most iconic dishes, Chhole Kulche. So that is where Kapil Sharma took Kamiya first.

While getting ready to savour some smoking hot kulchas, Kapil recalled that when he was in school, kulchas cost a meagre ₹2. Just like our parents, it seems that Kapil Sharma, too, likes to recall the good ol’ days when everything was infinitely cheaper than today.

He also spoke about the importance of makkhan on a kulcha. While smothering his kulcha in butter, he told Kamiya that getting butter in neat little chiplets is not the norm. Usually, they just smack a dollop of butter on your kulcha and the true fun is when it melts and makes its way to every corner of your kulcha.
